Case On Myasthenia Gravis

OPD NO 1234

Dated 9.02.10

Patient is a 41 yrs old, middle aged person. He is of medium built, fair complexion, tall, face is typically depicting his drooping of eyelid ( enclosed recent photo). Belongs to upper middle class. Presently working in a senior position and is on computer for whole day.

He has come up with the complaints of drooping of eyelid and diplopia. It all started all of a sudden in 2001, along with diplopia. Nothing could be detected in the MRI and it was diagnosed a case of MYSTHENIA GREVIS (OCCULAR). He has been under allopathic treatment without results. In between he took homoeopathic treatment ( outside delhi ) with slight recovery. Again same attack with marked diplopia and drooping. On further interrogation he recollects that all his problems started following marked stress at working place and overuse of computers. patient is aggressive by nature but cools down equally fast. He is averse to change or anything new in life. He is aggravated by contradiction, reserved a rigid by nature, marked constipation.

Appetite is normal

Craving for non veg

Thirst is normal

Urine is normal

Sweat is normal

Repertorisation was done on RADAR 9.2 version

Treatment

It was started on 9.02.10 by giving three doses of SEPIA 200 followed by sac lac

On 13.02.10

he reported definite improvement in eyes movement but no change in diplopia. As he is constantly on laptop so burning in eyes with strain and is better by cold washing

RUTA 30 to be taken four times a day

there is marked improvement in lid movement. no abnormality can be noticed in the face. diplopia is also better, now it is felt only on waking in the morning, while for rest of the day vision is absolutely clear.

 I have repeated RUTA 30 for another fortnight

no double vision, no drooping of eyelids
