The word ‘Sequelae’ stands for A condition following as a consequence of a disease. Medical Science has since long witnessed the symptoms/complaints in patients following the disease contraction. Sometimes we are sure of the cause i.e. ‘Ailments from’ but in absence of suitable literatures we are not able to choose the medicine. The solution to this difficulty was provided to the fraternity through the endeavour of Drs. Sastry and Kumar in the form of ‘Sequelae’. All our Stalwarts from Dr. Hahnemann, Boger, Clarke have emphasised the importance of Causative factors; Ailments from in the task of selecting the similimum. But the rich experiences have been scattered in Repertories, Journals and Materia medicas. Drs. Sastry and Kumar have done a Herculean task and made ready reckoner by compiling these scattered data and arranging them in a meaningful manner. Also he has given data about ill effects of certain dietetics as well as condition incidental to activities of life. The book consists of three parts: Part I: After effects of diseases: In this part various conditions appearing after the diseases as their sequelae are discussed. The diseases are arranged in a alphabetical orders as the main rubric and the various conditions appearing after these diseases are arranged as subrubric. Part II: This part deals with the after effects of conditions incidental to activities of life and dietetics. Part III: After effects of Medicines (Homeopathic and Allopathic). This is a great work on the part of Authors and the profession owes them gratitude for it.Dr. Bidwell
