In the past few years, one of the modes of therapy which has taken the world by storm is "Wheat Grass Therapy" involving growing the wheat in one's own house and then using its grass in various way.

Wheat bran is demulcent and emollient, bran bread is beneficial for dyspeptic and diabetic patients. Dr. Ann Wigmore of Hippocrates Health Centre, Boston, USA owes the credit of pioneering Wheat Grass therapy. Wheat meal is nutritive & restorative . It is given as a gruel with sugar of milk. It is detoxicant and alkaline. It purifies blood, supply energy and helps to increase the resistance power of body.

Moreover, wheat grass has 70 % chlorophyll also kniown as Wheat Grass Chlorophyll which is the basis of plant life. Chlorophyll is rich in trace minerals and has almost the same chemical components as human blood. Both chlorophyll and hemoglobin share a similar atom structure to create there respective molecules. Human blood and hemoglobin consists of iron, while in chlorophyll the metallic atom is magnesium. Magnesium found in the proton of chlorophyll is essential and beneficial for about 30 enzymes of our body. Rich in enzymes, vitamins, minerals, trace elements, anthocyans and bioflavinoids, it is highly nutritious substance useful in detoxification and cleansing properties; cytochrome oxidase, peroxidase and catalase found in chlorophyll are important for normal red and white blood cells ( reduced in Cancer ). Thus, it is a sort of liquid sunlight and being plant's blood, is useful as a Blood Tonic.

Since chlorophyll assets growth and development of unfriendly bacteria it has been found that WG assists in the healing of wounds and tissues and as a liver tonic. In the light of this fact, it is proved that the "Wheat Grass --- Green Blood" is a natural proton producing blood.

Celiac Disease - The Problem Protein in WHEAT

Commonly referred to as Wheat allergy, celiac disease is not an allergic disorder, it is actually intolerance of gluten , a protein in wheat. It occurs in people who have a genetic susceptibility. Unfortunately, awareness about this disease is very poor among the population and even among doctors.

Signs and Symptoms : There are no typical signs and symptoms of Celiac disease . In children , it manifests early with diarrhea which starts when the child is weaned off milk and started on solid diet. Another common manifestation is children is stunting of growth or failure to gain height and weight. School performance may get affected in some children. In India, celiac disease has been recognized in children for the last over 40-years but it has attracted the attention of these caring for adults only in the last decade. Most adult people with the disease have followed by weight loss.

Celiac disease symptoms can also minic those of other conditions, such as irritable bowel syndrome, gastric ulcers, parasite infection, skin disorders or bone disease. Celiac disease may also present itself in less obvious ways, including irritability or depression, joint pains, muscle cramps mouth sores, dental and bone disorders ( such as osteoporosis ) and tingling in the legs and feet ( neuropathy ).

Associated Complications: Osteoporosis , Anaemia and certain types of Cancer.

Malnutrition : Untreated celiac disease can lead to mala-absorption, which in turn can lead to malnutrition. This occurs in spite of hat appears to be an adequate diet. Because vital nutrient are lost in the stool rather than absorbed in the blood stream, mala absorption can cause deficiency of Vitamins A, B-12, D.E and K , foliate and iron , resulting in anaemia and weight loss. Malnutrition can cause stunted growth in children and delay their development.

Low of Calcium and Bone Density : With continued loss of fat in the stool, calcium and vitamin D may be loss in excessive amounts this may result in a bone disorder called osteomalacia, a softening of the bone also known as rickets in children and loss of bone density ( osteoporosis ) Cancer : People with celiac disease who do not maintain a gluten-free diet also have a greater chance of getting one of the several forms of Cancer especially intestinal lymphoma.

Other complications : Celiac disease has been linked to a auto immune hepatitis and infertility among others.

Diagnosis : Patients with celiac disease have high titers of certain antibodies, certain proteins related to gluten. A blood test can detect high levels of these antibodies. Commonly used tests are anti-tissue biopsy is taken from the small intestine through an endoscope , which is examined the microscope.

Management:

Wheat products are totally PROHIBITED including Atta, Maida, Suji commercially available Biscuits, Namkeen (Salti-cracks), Noodles, Cakes, Pastries, Ice-creams and other Snacks, Rye and Barley.

Gluten-free diet is advised, it consists of Maize, Rice, Rice flour, Maize flour , Soya-flour, Beasan (gram-flour) and a mixture of these flours. All vegetables, fruits, eggs and all meats products are PERMITTED.

Apart from the gluten-free diet, which has to be continued for life, patients with celiac disease need supplements like Iron , Vitamin B and Calcium. If adequately treated, these patients can lead a healthy and normal life.

How is it prepared

It is grown in a controlled , originally rich soil environment , until it reaches to a maturity, then it is harvested, extracted into alcohol, filtered then tested for alkaline contents.

Once it is sure that there are no harmful contents in it, then it is potentised according to Hahnemannian method and different potencies are prepasred from it.

Benefits of using WG

WG maintains our health in number of ways which we have founds in the different camps in Barnala , ( Distt. Sangrur ), Punjab under the supervision of Dr. Harvinder Singh .We have collected more than 52 benefits by administering Single Remedy which I have mentioned in my book " Wheat Grass a Potential Polycrest Remedy". However, it is very much useful for Anaemia, Respiratory Problems, cardio vascular system, Malignant, G.I.T., and Skin complaints and reveal that in most of the diseases Wheat Grass yields have positive results. Some other diseases like General Weakness, Insomnia, Headache, Fever etc. can be cured effectively with WG. It can be tried in other diseases which have not been included here and therefore, it should be given a fair trial in the treatment of all those diseases. It is not only a medicine but is also a rejuvenating agent for all human beings. I am sure 'My efforts will not go in vain, if the patients/readers are benefited'. It provides us with nature's most perfect living foods for only pennies a day. Recently, I with the help of Dr. Ravinder Kochhar caught this medicine ( chlorophyll ) in the capsule form, which we are mostly giving to the Cancer patients and getting very good results by increasing the life-span of the patients.

It is no more an Apple but "A Single dose of WG a day, you can keep the countless diseases Away"
